The Nerve Center Of Operations

 

During his presidency, this rustic hillside abode on several occasions served as the nerve center of operations for the leader of the Western world. For eight years Rancho del Cielo was frequently visited by hundreds of Secret Service agents and White House personnel. Reagan could not go anywhere without the military aide who carried the so-called "football" bearing the nuclear codes.

The Santa Barbara community is fortunate to have many sites of stunning natural beauty and historic importance. Part of its heritage includes the Reagan ranch, host to leaders from around the world.
