Regardless of what happens this fall, whether you feel the need to celebrate or reload to protect your freedoms, you need to meet with like-minded conservatives to plan your strategy to promote freedom on your campus.
On November 15 and 16, young conservative leaders from around the country will rally together at YAF’s Fall College Retreat. Hundreds of students will come together in our nation’s capital to strategize and learn the best methods to boldly promote conservatism in the weeks and months ahead.

Where? The Crystal Gateway Marriott—just 1 metro stop from the DCA airport and under 10 minutes from the National Mall.
How Much? You only pay $50, including your hotel, meals, swag, and anything else we give away during the program. That’s right, you’re getting a $1500 value for just $50!

You should arrive on Friday, for check-in at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, 1700 Richmond Highway, Arlington, VA 22202, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. The student conference starts at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. You will have time to check in to your hotel between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Friday. If you are not present at the 2:00 pm session on Friday, you will not be permitted to attend the conference. Full time attendance is mandatory throughout the weekend.
The conference ends at about 5:30 pm on Saturday. You will check out of your room on Saturday morning. If you want information about extending your stay through Saturday night, please use this link.

Yes–while travel assistance is never guaranteed, Young America’s Foundation will gladly consider all completed requests. Please use this link to submit your request for travel assistance.

We will not consider your request until we receive a completed request. Travel assistance essays are due prior to the start of the seminar.
Flights must allow for full-time attendance to be eligible for reimbursement.
Please note that travel assistance is not guaranteed and is allocated on a case-by-case basis. Incomplete essays will not be considered. Travel assistance essays are due before the start of the conference, but are issued on a first come, first served basis. If you are not dependent on full financial assistance, we recommend purchasing your ticket as soon as possible to lock in the lowest fare.
The event opens with breakout sessions on Friday afternoon, followed by a reception and a dinner banquet that evening. Saturday’s sessions include breakfast, lunch, and speaker sessions throughout the day.
Generous supporters of Young America’s Foundation have made this program possible. Therefore, you are required to attend all the sessions and abide by all the rules outlined in the responsibility pledge you agree to upon submission of your application. Skipping sessions may incur penalties, including but not limited to, travel reimbursement being revoked, immediate dismissal from the event, banishment from future YAF events, and required reimbursement to Young America’s Foundation of $2000.
No. If you wish to tour the D.C. area, please make your own plans to arrive on Thursday night or stay Sunday. Young America’s Foundation only covers your hotel room on Friday night, but we are happy to assist you in extending your stay. Please complete this form if you need extra nights.
You will be rooming with another person of the same sex. We cannot guarantee your requested roommates, but we will do our best to accommodate your preferences, as noted in the conference application.
200 students from around the country are expected to attend the conference. A select group of Young America’s Foundation’s supporters will also participate in the sessions along with you.
The atmosphere of this conference is similar to a normal college or university. As such, there may be drinking or smoking by those obeying all applicable local and hotel regulations. Those not obeying the law will be prosecuted by local police and subject to removal from the conference at their own expense.
You should fly to Washington Reagan National (DCA). An alternate option is to arrive at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), but this will add about an hour and a half to your travel time.
There are ground transportation options available from the DCA airport including taxis, airport buses, and rental vehicles. Young America’s Foundation does not provide airport shuttles. The hotel and airport are also both conveniently located just two stops apart on the Metro.

Yes, you are welcome to bring items to be autographed. However, we cannot guarantee the speakers will be able to sign them. Do not ask speakers for autographs or photos during the Q&A portions of their lectures. We will do our best to help you with these requests.
Yes! Your generous tax-deductible gift of $2,000 will allow Young America’s Foundation to host a student at this program who could not otherwise attend. We expect there to be amenities available to you during your time with us. As a reminder, you will not have much free time in the area since we provide you with a comprehensive program. If you wish to have more free time in the Washington area, you need to come early or stay late.
