strong>Tackle the Reagan Resilience Challenge: A Leadership Course with a Difference

Inspired by the Leadership Reaction Course from military training, this course challenges students with problem-solving scenarios that cultivate the determination, optimism, and leadership traits of Ronald Reagan.

Students will emerge with an understanding of the aspects that make America exceptional. They will appreciate how President Reagan transformed the nation and the world and how they can do the same. Students will return from the Middle School Expedition ready to make a difference.

This educational program begins at 5:30 p.m., September 13, 2024, and concludes at 4:30 p.m. at the Northwest Territory Historic Center (205 West Fifth St, Dixon, IL).

This two-day program begins and ends at the Northwest Territory Historic Center and includes dinner at the Post House Ballroom and a tour of President Reagan’s Boyhood Home. Middle school students will gain insight into the ideas that shaped President Reagan. With engaging and dynamic speakers, students will learn the effectiveness of free-market principles and grapple with important questions about American history.

WHAT’S INCLUDED? The registration fee of $30 includes Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, educational materials, and transportation to and from the Reagan Boyhood Home and other locations within Dixon. The dinner, available to the entire family, is an additional $25 per adult and free for students and siblings.
