Young America’s Foundation’s Orlando Freedom Conference concluded this past weekend, leaving a trail of inspired and energized students ready to champion conservative principles on their respective high school and college campuses throughout the country. With more than 400 attendees convening at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, the event provided a platform for seven of the Conservative Movement’s strongest voices to share their wisdom and strategies for countering the radical Left’s agenda in the educational setting.
Kicking off the conference on Friday evening was Seth Dillon of the Babylon Bee. He shared his insights on navigating censorship and leveraging satire and humor to point out just how laughable so many of the Left’s actions and proposals truly are.
Anna Strasburg fervently championed the pro-life cause, underscoring the importance of defending the sanctity of life in today’s society. Even after the encouraging Dobbs victory in the Supreme Court, we still have life-saving work to do!
Robert Spencer delved into the history of Israel and “Palestine,” debunking misconceptions that have been perpetrated by the Left and equipping YAFers with the knowledge we need to counter false and anti-semitic narratives being pushed by the radicals.
YAF President Governor Scott Walker delivered a compelling address on the pillars of opportunity, prosperity, and security, inspiring the crowd to embrace conservatism for a brighter future.
YAF Director Wynton Hall shared his “Ultimate Ninja Tricks” for effective communication when debating the Left. The rhetorical strategies he shared, inspired by President Ronald Reagan, are sure to embolden YAF students in their missions to challenge false narratives and compel others to join the Conservative Movement.
Abby Roth emphasized the importance of media literacy during her speech, pointing out the dangerous biases and dishonesty exhibited by much of the mainstream press in America.
Jerome Hudson of Breitbart News wrapped things up with an amazing lecture that shed light on the hypocrisy of the BLM movement and unveiled the hidden history of racial relations in America.
Overall, the Orlando Freedom Conference served as a launch pad for inspiration and action, giving YAFers the knowledge, skills, courage, and determination we need to go up against the Left. As attendees get back into the swing of things, we carry with us a renewed sense of motivation and a commitment to standing up for freedom.
