The University of California-Davis is encouraging faculty and staff members in its health division to enroll in an “Addressing Microaggressions in Health Professions Learning Environments” course, according to a listing received through Young America’s Foundation’s Campus Bias Tip Line.
Attendees will receive one continuing medical education credit for participating in this DEI workshop. In California, 50 credits are required per licensing cycle for medical professionals.
According to a description on the university’s website, they will learn to “define microaggressions,” “analyze the historical, structural, and cultural context of the microaggression,” and “discuss responses from each member involved in the interaction.”
An example of a “microaggression” includes asking someone who appears to be an immigrant where they’re from. This simple and friendly conversation starter is viewed as a grave offense by many leftists. Failing to ask someone for his or her “preferred pronouns” may also be considered an aggression.
This is yet another example of the University of California system embedding leftist DEI initiatives into critical medical training settings, and all aspects of campus life.
Earlier in the year, the Daily Wire reported that a Massachusetts hospital adopted a policy that allows medical staff the right to deny patients care “if they’re accused of microaggressions.”
In February, the New Guard exposed the University of California-San Francisco’s medical school for hosting a blatantly racist lecture during which the speaker, Dante King, stated that “whites are psychopaths” whose behavior is “biologically transmitted.”
This, of course, is no “microaggression.” Sadly, it’s a university-sponsored display of blatant racism and contempt for others based solely on the color of their skin.
