Alex Buchheit graduated with university honors from Hillsdale College, where he double majored in history and German. While at Hillsdale, Alex joined YAF as a freshman and attended numerous events put on by the chapter. He enjoyed serving as principal trombonist in the Hillsdale College Symphony Orchestra, playing trombone in the Hillsdale College Big Band, sailing with the club team, playing ultimate frisbee, and spending time with friends.

Last summer, Alex interned as a curatorial assistant at the Warren County Ohio Historical Society Museum, where he designed and implemented an exhibit on an important piece of local history.

Alex plans to pursue his master’s degree in history with a concentration in public history from Wright State University. He hopes to become the head curator of a major museum and help preserve America’s history and core values for future generations.
