Luke Wong is a recent graduate of Harrison High School (HHS) in Harrison, New York, and an incoming freshman at Hillsdale College, where he will be majoring in political economy. Luke is the founding chairman of the Young Americans for Freedom chapter at Harrison High School.

A lifelong conservative, Luke became involved with YAF after learning about it at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in 2019. After meeting YAF activists and staff at CPAC, Luke was motivated to start a YAF chapter at his local high school to bring a differing viewpoint on current issues to his campus.

Luke spent the next two years of his high school career fighting the leftist administration at his school to secure formal recognition of HHS’s YAF chapter. Finally, after extensive work with YAF and the Alliance Defending Freedom, he was successful in early 2021. Luke’s YAF chapter hosted the 9/11: Never Forget Project and worked to grow YAF at Harrison High School despite administrative roadblocks created by the pandemic.

Luke hopes to enter government affairs after college and advocate for public policy that furthers conservative principles and strengthens America’s civic institutions.
