Rayna Laakso serves as the event coordinator at YAF’s Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara. In this position, she facilitates the planning and the execution of events at the Center and Rancho del Cielo.
Rayna is originally from Montana and graduated summa cum laude from Rocky Mountain College (RMC) in Billings, Montana, in 2022. She received outstanding graduate awards from RMC’s history and political science departments and minored in pre-law, art, and military science.While earning her degree, she successfully received her commission into the Montana Army National Guard as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Rayna has always been passionate about her faith and freedom. She founded the Rocky Mountain College YAF chapter, serving as chair for two years.
While serving as chair, she organized YAF’s 9/11: Never Forget Project each year and hosted several speaking events featuring Rachel Campos-Duffy and local officials.
She addressed the Billings March for Life in 2019 and was hosted by several radio stations to share the mission of the RMC YAF chapter.
In 2019, Rayna and RMC YAF received national media attention when RMC administrators denied the chapter’s request to set up a pro-life display. The administrators claimed the display of white crosses was too “divisive” and “too confrontational.”
Rayna is grateful to join the Young America’s Foundation team and promote and preserve Ronald Reagan’s ideas and values for future generations.
