Shawna Weber is a business student from the College of Lake County (CLC) in northern Illinois, where she was born and raised. Being raised in a home with conservative values, she found YAF tabling on her campus and immediately sought to get involved. After attending a Reagan Ranch conference, she was determined to make her mark with the Conservative Movement.
Shawna dove into campus activism, joining pro-life groups and learning how to combat leftism on her campus. At the height of the pandemic, Shawna was egged while protesting the opening of a large Planned Parenthood abortion facility in her county—an incident which made headlines after being reported on in YAF’s online publication, New Guard.
Since then, Shawna has been engaged in pro-life activism, hosting a March for Life in her county and speaking at local pro-life rallies. She served as the vice chairman of her YAF chapter, which was subsequently named runner-up for YAF chapter of the year. During her chairmanship, she organized school board protests at her school and rallied her peers to shut down the vaccine and mask mandates on campus.
Shawna plans to work with the pro-life movement in the future and advance human rights for all. She credits YAF for igniting her passion as a conservative and is passionate about advancing the conservative message in a nation that desperately needs it.
