Pro-Life TImeline activism project

“Simple morality dictates that unless and until someone can prove the unborn human is not alive, we must give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it is. And, thus, it should be entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

– President Ronald Reagan

How to participate

Walk the Walk

This February 20-24, stand up alongside students across America for the unborn and advocate for life with YAF’s Timeline of Fetal Development display! The goal of this project is to expose the fact that abortion ends a human life by challenging students to answer: When does life begin?

Order Materials

The Timeline of Fetal Development is a series of 9 posters, each focusing on a different stage of fetal development, with an image of a child at that age and a few facts about his/her biological development at that point.

Young America’s Foundation will send you a FREE Pro-Life Activism Kit to help you organize this project on your campus and in your community!

Make Your Impact

1

Set Up

Find a high-traffic area of campus to set up your pro-life literature and recruitment table and hang the posters on a nearby wall in sequential order. It is important that the posters be near each other and are in correct order!

2

Engage

As students walk by, ask, “When do you think life begins?” Offer them a sticky note (we recommend page markers) to place on whichever poster depicts the stage of development when they believe life begins.

3

Inquire

Ask, “Do you support legalized abortion?”

If they answer “no,” thank them for standing for life and ask them if they would be interested in joining Young Americans for Freedom!

If they answer “yes,” ask, “Do you think abortion should be legal before the point you identified? What is the fundamental difference between the child in this stage a development and the stage immediately before? Would it be okay to abort the child one day before they reach the stage of development you chose?” Offer the person the Abortion Description Card that explains what happens in an abortion during the stage immediately before the one they selected (These cards are descriptive and do not contain graphic images). Hopefully, the information will help them reconsider their stance.

4

Give

Offer the brochure, “3 Things Every Student Should Know About Abortion” and other pro-life stickers and pins provided by National YAF.

5

Follow Up

You should follow up with every student who expressed interest in joining your club and get them plugged in!
