If you thought that Harvard’s removal of its plagiarist-in-chief would put the institution back on track to restoring its once-prestigious reputation, think again.
A recent update to the website of the Houghton Library at Harvard University states that the institution “strive[s] to correct structural inequality” by “acknowledging that our institution’s history is anchored in whiteness, cisgender maleness, heteronormativity, and economic privilege.”
This addition, which was flagged to the New Guard through a tip submitted to Young America’s Foundation’s Campus Bias Tip Line, can now be found within the “values” section of the library’s page.
“It is shameful that Harvard continues to destroy its reputation. This once prestigious institution is pushing racial and economic resentment, as well as other falsehoods instead of teaching students the critical lessons needed to succeed in the real world,” Jasmyn Jordan, national chairwoman of Young Americans for Freedom, said in reaction to the library’s new values statement.
It’s unclear what steps the library will take to achieve its end goals, but searches of the library’s catalog and programming calendars did return hundreds of results that appear to promote these leftist values.
The New Guard sent a request for comment to Harvard’s library, but did not immediately hear back. This article will be updated accordingly.
The Left’s mission to stoke hatred and division seemingly knows no bounds. Just weeks ago, the New Guard exposed a memo circulated among Milwaukee Public Schools faculty advising teachers how to “decenter whiteness” in their classrooms.
