SECURITIES (STOCKS, BONDS, MUTUAL FUNDS):

Consider a gift of appreciated securities to Young America’s Foundation. By transferring your securities directly to us, you will avoid all capital gain due upon the sale of those assets were you to sell them on your own. Please contact Clare Hinshaw at Young America’s Foundation at [email protected] or (800) USA-1776. You can make a gift directly to Young America’s Foundation, DTC #0062, Account #19897474, at Vanguard Brokerage Services.  You will receive an immediate income tax deduction for the value of the transferred securities.

INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNT GIFTS / QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION:

If you own an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), and you have reached the age of 70 ½ years of age, you may transfer up to $105,000 each year from your account, tax free, directly to Young America’s Foundation. This is referred to as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Contact your plan administrator and ask them to transfer the funds directly to Young America’s Foundation (Federal Tax ID #23-7042029). DONOR ADVISED FUND:

If you have established a donor advised fund, you can recommend a donation to Young America’s Foundation (Federal Tax ID#23-7042029). Please direct your donor advised fund sponsoring organization to make checks payable to:

BENEFICIARY DESIGNATIONS:

By designating Young America’s Foundation as a beneficiary of one of your life insurance policies, retirement accounts (IRA, 401k), or bank accounts, you will enjoy that satisfaction of knowing that you will educate young Americans with your values. These designations are even easier to establish than a will, are completely revocable until your death, require no upfront commitment of assets, and pass outside of your estate upon your death, avoiding the probate process. BEQUESTS (Will or Living Trust):

To secure a personal legacy of educating young people with your values and advancing freedom, please tell your attorney to add this language to your will:

General Bequest:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Young America’s Foundation (Federal Taxpayer Identification 23-7042029), 11480 Commerce Park Drive, Sixth Floor, Reston, Virginia 20191, (insert dollar amount of bequest, or percentage of estate) to be used for educational purposes, or to support capital projects such as the Reagan Ranch.”

Specific Bequest:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Young America’s Foundation (Federal Taxpayer Identification 23-7042029), 11480 Commerce Park Drive, Sixth Floor, Reston, Virginia 20191, (insert dollar amount of bequest, or percentage of estate) to be used for the specific purpose of (providing student sponsorships for YAF conferences, sponsoring campus lecture events, YAF’s general operating needs at the time, etc.).

Bequest of Rest, Residual, and Remainder:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Young America’s Foundation (Federal Taxpayer Identification 23-7042029), 11480 Commerce Park Drive, Sixth Floor, Reston, Virginia 20191, the rest, residual, and remainder of my estate following the payment of all other obligations under the terms of the trust.”

Charitable life income plans offer a unique opportunity to enjoy a guaranteed, life income while simultaneously impacting our work at YAF in a powerful way by leaving a “remainder” gift at your passing. We would be delighted to provide to you, at no cost, a fully illustrated model for any of our life income plans to share with your financial advisor.

CRYPTOCURRENCY:

Young America’s Foundation accepts donations of certain cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, and others) through the donation form on our website.  All cryptocurrency donations are non-taxable, meaning you will not owe ANY capital gains on the appreciated value of your donation.   Once a cryptocurrency is donated, you will receive an automated receipt denoting the fair market value of the donated cryptocurrency.  If you have additional questions about donating any cryptocurrency, please contact Paul Matthews at Young America’s Foundation at [email protected] or (800) USA-1776.
