Campaign Tour Director for President Ronald Reagan
Dennis had a professional and personal relationship with Ronald Reagan for more than thirty years.
He was first assigned to Governor Reagan’s detail in 1971 as a California highway patrolman. During that time, he assisted with the advance work necessary for the Governor’s schedule. Following Reagan’s governorship, Dennis LeBlanc joined “Deaver and Hannaford,” a public relations firm that assisted Reagan during his Presidential runs in 1976 and 1980, where he served as campaign tour director.
Mr. LeBlanc then served in the White House as deputy director of the White House Military Office. Following that role, he went on in 1981 to serve as Reagan’s associate administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration for two years.
In 1983, he went to work in the private sector for Pacific Bell Phone Company; he retired from the phone company in 2002.
Dennis LeBlanc’s first visit to the Ranch was at the end of Reagan’s governorship. He assisted Ronald Reagan with numerous projects at the Ranch during the post-gubernatorial, Presidential, and post-Presidential periods.
