The Satanic Temple has been permitted to host multiple after school “Satan Club” meetings at a midwestern elementary school in the new year, according to a flyer advertising the event.
Jane Addams Elementary in Illinois agreed to host multiple events sponsored by The Satanic Temple, specifically targeted at children. The event’s flyer includes a permission slip for parents to sign and states “Hey kids, let’s have fun at after School Satan Club!”
Jane Addams Elementary referred YAF to the Moline-Coal Valley School District’s statement on the event.
In the statement, the school confirmed that flyers for the “Satan Club” are posted around the building and added that “Religiously affiliated groups are among those allowed to rent our facilities for a fee.”
If Satanism isn’t a bridge too far for schools, it begs the question what is too far? Satanism should have no place in the lives of children and definitely shouldn’t be advertised to students in their place of learning. Conservative organizations face pushback at every turn, but The Satanic Temple seems to be in the good graces of the Left.
