When students at Fresno State attempted to form a new YAF chapter, they encounter a common problem: the school wanted to dictate who became a member of the club rather than respect the club’s right to associate with likeminded individuals. YAF advised the club of the First Amendment right of association and helped them propose new language to the school. Eventually, the school backed down and approved the club.
