Students requested funding for YAF chapter in accordance with school policy, but school delegated funding decision to leftist Student Association – which then awarded YAF 1/50 of funds granted to leftist groups such as Black Lives Matter. YAF filed a records request to expose discrimination, but school denied the request, claiming that Student Association is not a state actor subject to open records laws. YAF appealed and ultimately secured the records.
