A high school in New Hampshire denied a student’s attempt to form a YAF chapter, saying YAF made teachers and administrators “nervous”. Because faculty refused to act as the chapter’s advisor, the student took the initiative to enlist a state representative instead. However, the school failed to conduct volunteer screening, effectively halting the process. YAF sent a letter to the superintendent demanding chapter recognition, and, after a brief back-and-forth, the superintendent approved the chapter. During the recognition process, YAF helped the student prep to argue his case before the school board, and worked with him to participate in 9/11: Never Forget Project.
