September 11, 2016 will mark the 15th anniversary of the terror attacks of 9/11/01 that claimed thousands of innocent lives, left scars across America’s biggest cities, and created a generation that could instantly answer the question: “Where were you on 9/11?” Sadly, however, it didn’t take long for people to lose focus. Only two years after the attacks, Young America’s Foundation noticed the memory of that day had already begun to fade. That’s why YAF established the 9/11: Never Forget Project in 2003—to ensure the 2,977 murdered civilians were never forgotten. Now, more than a decade later, students entering their freshman year of college were only three years old at the time of the attacks, and have developed their knowledge of that day only by gleaning facts from archived footage and news reports. 911 Since it was created, the iconic field of flags that is the trademark of YAF’s 9/11: Never Forget Project has been established on campuses more than 3,200 times. In the last 13 years since the 9/11: Never Forget Project came into existence, more than 9.7 million American flags have been planted on campuses across the country. 9/11 ksdfs Sign up here to get the supplies and support you need from Young America’s Foundation to ensure your campus observes 9/11 with meaningful remembrance. There’s no better way to observe this landmark 15th anniversary than by creating a memorial to those who were taken by the terror of September 11.
