The Oklahoma State University Young Americans for Freedom chapter (OSU YAF) has been named the April 2025 YAF Chapter of the Month.
After leftist students on campus organized a protest against the Trump administration’s deportation of illegal immigrants, OSU YAF knew they needed to respond. OSU YAF created a campus initiative taking one of the left’s favorite terms, “DEI,” and having it stand for “Deport Every Illegal.” OSU YAF then put this slogan on flyers, chalked it across campus, posted on social media, and organized tabling events to hit back at the Left.
OSU YAF’s quick response to campus events and focusing on current events that their campus cares about serve as a model for all YAF chapters to emulate.
Despite students and staff tearing down their materials, OSU YAF didn’t relent, and diligently replaced each flyer, refusing to let the Left silence them.
When asked by the local news why they were posting these flyers, the chapter stated, “It is right that the deportation of illegals occurs to uphold the rule of law, protect Americans from vicious foreign criminals, deter future criminal entry, and encourage lawful entry into our country.”
“I am incredibly proud of our chapter’s dedication and bold activism this spring. Our members’ creativity, courage, and commitment to advancing conservative values on campus have been truly inspiring,” said OSU YAF Chapter Chair Andrew Williamson. “This recognition is a testament to our unwavering efforts to engage our fellow students and make a lasting and powerful impact. This spring has set the stage for even greater accomplishments on campus in the year ahead!”
The following members were instrumental in OSU YAF’s success:
Thomas Hatfield
Trinity Young
Caleb Buxton
Kyle Marks
Carson Brenneman
Miles Anderson
