There is a clear double standard when it comes to free speech on college campuses.
When a conservative professor makes a controversial statement and a student complains, university administrators are quick to intervene, but there is a very different response when a leftist professor does the same.
Universities are far more likely to turn the other way when leftist professors or faculty say or do something controversial, and it’s time to change that. If academic freedom is worth anything and if universities are truly marketplaces of ideas, then it is important that all viewpoints are expressed and treated equally.
