Isabella Foxen is a rising senior political science major at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Isabella is the chairman and founder of the Grove City College Young Americans for Freedom chapter, which she looks forward to seeing expand this coming school year.
Isabella first became involved with Young America’s Foundation after attending her first conference in 2011. Since then she has continued to go to many YAF conferences and seminars including NCSC, West Coast Conferences, and Club 100. Following her first conference Isabella was inspired to start her own YAF chapter at La Reina High School. She later faced adversity trying to start her YAF chapter and continued to run the club through her household. La Reina claimed YAF’s use of the word activism to meant “militant” and did not want a “militant” club on campus.
Isabella’s high school experience gave her the motivation to continue her strive to start a YAF chapter on her college campus. She has since started the Grove City College Young Americans for Freedom chapter and looks forward to seeing it grow.
Isabella has also previously interned for the Foundation at the Ragan Ranch Center in the summer of 2012 and has returned as a Barker Foundation Intern Scholar this summer.
