D-List Actor Claims Fox Viewers Are Racist, Gets Smack Down From Megyn Kelly
Things got heated on The Kelly File Wednesday night when actor D.L. Hughley, an ardent supporter of Black Lives Matter, got in a fierce debate with host Megyn Kelly over recent shootings that have involved the police. At one point, the actor told Kelly, “I think a lot of people on this network have never seen a black man they didn’t think deserved it.”

Although the interview was initially calm, the situation went downhill fast when Kelly brought up the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri which sparked large protests and prompted the Department of Justice to investigate the Ferguson police department.
When Kelly began presenting Hughley with the results of the DOJ’s investigation into Brown’s death, Hughley scratched his head and said, “Wow, wow,” to which Kelly responded, “Don’t ‘Wow’ me.”
From there, the interview became extremely tense as the discussion progressed. Hughley tried to make the argument that the Ferguson police department was “rife with racism” which prompted the following exchange:
Kelly: Michael Brown grabbed that officer’s gun and tried to shoot him.
Hughley: No one has proven that.
Kelly: That’s what Eric Holder’s DOJ concluded.
Hughley: What I’ll tell you is this; It is not uncommon for you to see one thing… The only place that racism doesn’t exist is Fox News and the police department. That’s absolutely true.
Kelly: Come on! That’s insulting. You just insulted millions of people watching this channel.
Hughley: You know, I’m insulted by the things I hear on this network, so we’re even. I could care less about insulting the people who insult me on a daily basis.
Clearly annoyed with Hughley’s insults, Kelly asked, “Could you hold the insults for a second so we can have a productive conversation?”
Kelly then blasted Hughley for loosely tossing around claims of racism, saying that it simply “shuts down all reasonable dialogue” instead of resulting in productive discussion that helps assuage racial tension.
“It’s very dangerous where you get to a point where you paint an entire group with the same brush based on the bad actions of a few,” Kelly reminded Hughley.
She then ended the segment with a classic reaction to Hughley’s comments:
