A Message From YAF President Scott Walker on the 2026 Midterm Elections
Freedom is under assault. Socialist leaders promised that they will launch an outright attack on our free market system, our right to free speech, and our nation’s security.
As a conservative student on a college campus, you are likely frustrated by the results from the mid-term elections. You may be concerned that the Conservative Movement’s messaging didn’t resonate with your peers or those in your community. You may be scared that socialists and their ideas are gaining more power in our nation
You can’t control what leaders in the nationwide Conservative Movement say or do.
You can’t control how the media and the culture undermine our ideas.
You can’t control that many Americans across the country fell for false promises of collectivists.
What you CAN control is whether the students on your campus are exposed to conservative ideas.
You CAN control that a prominent conservative speaker visits your school this year.
You CAN control whether conservative students can join a strong, activist organization to push back against liberal indoctrination on campus.
We must fight for our own convictions, defend free speech and the free exercise of our rights, and remember they are God-given, not a privilege the government can withhold.
We know that free enterprise, personal responsibility, and treating others as individuals—not as members of special interest groups—are time-tested truths.
So let us fight for our principles and DEFY attempts by collectivists in power to reduce America’s freedoms.
DEFY their efforts to destroy our country.
DEFY ongoing attempts to socialize our economy.
DEFY attempts to undermine our armed services and our national security
DEFY the indoctrination of young people on college and high school campuses.
The new leftist leaders are calculating and deceitful, targeting young people locally—in schools, communities, and towns—to lure them into this destructive ideology. Time to acquiesce? Hell no. It’s time to DEFY them.
And you can do so NOW.
Participate in activism efforts in your community.
Start or join a Young Americans for Freedom chapter at your school.
Schedule a prominent conservative speaker at your campus.
