FONTOVA: Anti-NRA Student Walkout Features Che Guevara As Poster Child

by Humberto Fontova “About 1,400 students wearing orange shirts gathered on a hill at East Chapel Hill High School in North Carolina to listen as student organizers read the names of each of the Parkland victims…students gathered in discussion circles to talk about gun violence in America…”It’s really scary to me how in America we seem to have this constant, or this prevailing, notion that we should fight violence with violence,” said senior Frances O’Grady, 18, “and that’s never, ever the solution…I think that’s just a very dangerous idea.” On the classroom wall behind O’Grady hung a banner with the image of Che Guevara…” Nice touch, “anti-violence” students! (or more probably, “anti-violence” teachers.) “For me it was the most marvelous sight in the world! There in front of my envious eyes were the instruments of DEATH!” That was anti-violence emblem Che Guevara in 1958, admiring a shipment of (genuine) assault-rifles to his terrorist band in Cuba’s hills. Che had quite a bit to say about violence, as it turns out: “My nostrils dilate while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood!” “Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any surrendered enemy that falls in my hands! With the deaths of my enemies I prepare my being for the sacred fight and join the triumphant proletariat with a bestial howl!” “I’d like to confess, papa, at that moment I discovered that I really like killing.” “Hatred is the central element of our struggle!… Hatred that is intransigent…Hatred so violent that it propels a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him [a] violent and cold-blooded killing machine…We reject any peaceful approach. Violence is inevitable. To establish Socialism rivers of blood must flow.” “If the nuclear missiles had remained (in Cuba) we would have fired them against the heart of the U.S. including New York City. The victory of socialism is well worth millions of atomic victims!” Thorough documentation for all of the above quotes here. In fact this book is the original source for most of those Che Guevara quotes you see online, without proper attribution. Now, we wonder? Did the banner of the child-murdering, war-mongering, violence-worshiping (but cowardly) gun-nut Che Guevara go up this week at East Chapel Hill High School as special inspiration for this “anti-violence discussion circle?” Or is the face of the racist, sadistic, homophobic, book-burning, misogynistic, nuke-rattling, mass-murdering, (but cowardly) psychopath a permanent inspirational item at peace-brotherhood-and-diversity-loving East Chapel Hill High School? Either way, it says much more about the teachers than the students. Actually, few symbols could be more perfect. After all, Che Guevara co-founded a Stalinist regime that outlawed guns and quickly proceeded to jail and torture citizens at rates to rival Stalin’s during the Great Terror, to murder at a rate to surpass pre-war Hitler’s and in the process convert a prosperous immigrant-inundated nation into a cesspool that repels Haitians and boasts the highest suicide rate in the Hemisphere. We’ve probably all seen the pro-self defense poster showing a roster of totalitarians with the subtitle. “Gun control works—the experts agree.”  So were these students (their teachers, actually) warning us about some of the historically horrific consequences of gun-banning—but with a hipper and more photogenic totalitarian symbol? Hard to say. But it sure seemed that these students (actually, probably their teachers) equated the child-murdering, nuke-rattling, psychopathic (but cowardly) gun-nut Che Guevara with Mahatma Gandhi. What magnificent fodder for SNL and talk-show writers East Chapel Hill teachers would make!  Think of the cartoon clips of their bodies attached to the heads of braying donkeys! Alas– nowadays, such writers are blind and deaf to genuine edginess, irony and satire. Instead they punch the clock as brain-dead leftist hacks. (Granted: SNL skits and late-night TV monologues have always skewed to the Left, even with John Belushi and Johnny Carson. But at least they used to be funny.) Upon arriving in Havana in January of 1959, after a concocted “guerrilla war,” the high-school symbol of non-violence Che Guevara immediately recognized the moat around Havana’s La Cabana fortress as a handy-dandy execution pit. At Babi-Yar, Hitler’s SS had to dig one. Here Che Guevara and Fidel Castro had one ready-made and so they put their firing squads to work in triple-shifts. “Viva Cuba Libre! Viva Cristo Rey! Abajo Comunismo!” Before the bullets ripped their bodies apart “the defiant yells of the bound and staked martyrs would make the walls of La Cabana prison tremble,” wrote eyewitness to the slaughter, Armando Valladares. These defiant yells started to badly unnerve the Che-appointed executioners. So by mid 1961 the mere binding and blindfolding of Castro and Che’s enemies wasn’t enough. The Left’s premier poster-boys began ordering their gagging too. The shaken firing-squads demanded it. The defiant yells by the hundreds of men and boys they were murdering had badly spooked the trigger-pullers, you see. So now, as Che Guevara’s henchmen yanked the Cuban martyrs and heroes from the cells, bent their arms back, and bound their hands, two more Communist guards came into play. One grabbed the struggling victim’s hair and jerked his head back, trying to steady him. The other taped his mouth shut. Carlos Machado was 15 years old in 1963 when the “non-violent” Castroite henchman yelled “FUEGO!”—and the “non-violent” Soviet bullets shattered his body. His twin brother and father collapsed beside Carlos from the same volley. All had resisted the “non-violent” Castro and Che Guevara’s theft of their humble family farm. All refused blindfolds and all died sneering at their Communist murderers, as did thousands of their valiant countrymen. But the increasingly “fake news” media still pretends none of this happened.
