An Iowa State University course for aspiring preschool through eighth-grade teachers encourages teacher candidates to assign an array of leftist propaganda childrens’ books to their students, according to a syllabus obtained by the New Guard through Young America’s Foundation’s Campus Bias Tip Line.
The course, “Critical Approaches to Teaching Children’s & Adolescent Literature,” is taught by “Mx.” Sarah Chase. The “non-binary” assistant professor, who has written a 105-page research paper criticizing the “gendered spaces” in Disney’s Frozen and Maleficent, will guide teachers-in-training through a selection of books, explaining how the future teachers should use the titles to inspire leftist activism in their own students.
Students are instructed to obtain copies of 16 books, including “Julian is a Mermaid” and “I Am Jazz,” two books designed to introduce children to the irrational idea that they can alter biological reality at-will, as well as “Antiracist Baby,” a picture book by infamous race hustler Ibram X. Kendi.
Other titles on the list include the writings of leftist Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotamayor, as well as a handful of books intended to provoke environmental alarmism.
The New Guard has encountered many of these titles in the past. Unfortunately, teachers are abiding by the recommendations of these leftist professors and grooming students to become leftist activists from the moment they step foot into a classroom at four or five years-old.
The New Guard attempted to reach the professor, but did not hear back. This article will be updated accordingly.
