Brown discussed a wide range of topics throughout the evening, including the Lindsay Clancy trial, abortion, raising a family, motherhood and the decision to have children. One of the central themes of her remarks was the impact of hookup culture on young people and the way modern dating and relationships can shape how a generation approaches marriage, family and commitment.
She also discussed how dating apps have degraded society, and urged young people ditch the dating apps and build relationships at churches, youth groups, and in their community.
Rather than simply delivering prepared remarks, Brown opened the floor to students, taking questions from the audience during an open Q&A. The conversation gave students an opportunity to raise their own questions and hear Brown’s perspective on issues affecting their generation.
