Washington, D.C. — The National Journalism Center (NJC) and Young America’s Foundation are proud to announce that NewsNation Host Katie Pavlich will succeed T. Kenneth Cribb, Jr., as chairman of NJC’s board of governors.

Cribb, Intercollegiate Studies Institute’s president emeritus, has spent nearly 12 years as the chairman of NJC and said he felt the time was right to pass the baton to the next generation.

“Katie’s profound understanding of America’s founding principles lends a rare wisdom to her reporting and commentary on the great issues of our time,” said Cribb, whose decades-long service to the Conservative Movement has spanned from the Reagan White House to YAF to the Federalist Society, often with emphasis on cultivating the next generation. “As NJC chair, she can now impart this perspective to successive waves of young journalists as they take up their critical work.”

Pavlich has spent two decades tirelessly pursuing truth in journalism. A New York Times bestselling author, Pavlich was editor of Townhall and a regular Fox News contributor before she launched her new show, Katie Pavlich Tonight, on NewsNation in early 2026. Pavlich is also an alumnus of Young America’s Foundation’s student program.

“We are so proud that Katie Pavlich was inspired at one of YAF’s college conferences when she was a student at the University of Arizona,” noted YAF President Governor Scott Walker. “Now she is inspiring a whole new generation of truth-seekers. What an honor to have her chair our National Journalism Center Board of Governors.”

Pavlich’s contributions to journalism span the media gamut, from blogging to longform investigations and broadcast. She eagerly accepted the role at NJC and signaled a bright future for up-and-coming conservative reporters.

“I am honored to step into this new role with the National Journalism Center at this crucial time in media,” said Pavlich. “I look forward to working with the board to grow our reach, bring our students the best programs possible in order to prepare them for work in our nation’s newsrooms and much more.”

The National Journalism Center, now in its 49th year, is a project of Young America’s Foundation that offers aspiring reporters a comprehensive, fully paid 12-week journalism internship each spring and summer. The program places young people directly in bustling newsrooms in and around our nation’s capital. Once a week, the NJC interns receive in-person training from some of the industry’s most experienced reporters, editors, and personalities.
