Kevin McMahon is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia, where he double-majored in economics and government.
Kevin became involved with YAF early in his undergraduate career, primarily focusing on reviving the Young Americans for Freedom chapter at UVA.
After a fight against school administrators, UVA YAF was granted official recognition by the university, despite the red tape, roadblocks, and bureaucratic hoops that had to be jumped through in order to ensure that UVA students could hear conservative ideas.
Under new leadership, Kevin and UVA UAF took on a host of new activism initiatives. The chapter now participates annually in the 9/11: Never Forget Project, Freedom Week, and No More Che Day, and has hosted several high-profile conservative speakers, including Kate Obenshain Keeler, Steve Moore, and Governor George Allen.
During his undergraduate career, Kevin interned for Congressman Keith Rothfus. He also spent last summer as a William & Berniece Grewcock Intern Scholar at YAF’s national headquarters.
As a program assistant at YAF, Kevin looks forward to working to spread conservative ideas on college campuses and to supporting students nationwide in their efforts to advance freedom.
