RESTON, VA–Young America’s Foundation is proud to sponsor New Jersey Reagan Day, now in its 14th year, featuring famed coach and sports broadcaster Lou Holtz. Bold conservatives and principled leaders will gather on May 30 to celebrate President Reagan’s accomplishments and reflect on his values that restored the economy, laid totalitarianism on the ash heap of history, and reinvigorated American patriotism. Since its founding, New Jersey Reagan Day has grown to become the largest Reagan Day celebration in the country, attracting hundreds of attendees every year. Past keynote speakers at New Jersey Reagan Day include Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Attorneys General Ed Meese and John Ashcroft. New Jersey Governor Tom Kean also attends this event as a guest of honor each year. Lou Holtz is the recipient of 14 honorary doctorate degrees, an inductee to the College Football Hall of Fame, and boasts a career record of 243-127-7. Throughout his distinguished head coaching career–at schools including William & Mary, North Carolina State, Arkansas, and Notre Dame–Holtz made history: He remains the only coach to take six different teams to bowl games, win five bowl games with different teams, and have four teams ranked in the final Top 20 poll. Off the field, Holtz worked as a commentator for CBS Sports, ESPN, and SiriusXM Radio covering the sport he loved. He is also the distinguished author of three New York Times bestsellers. His lifelong career of helping young people is a passion shared by Young America’s Foundation, which works to ensure increasing numbers of young people understand and are inspired by freedom’s principles. New Jersey Reagan Day was founded by New Jersey Assemblyman Jay Weber, who is also a member of Young America’s Foundation’s Reagan Ranch Board of Governors.
