Marquette University hopes to train students and members of the general public (including minors) to adopt voices that sound like those of the opposite sex through its new “Gender Affirming Voice Therapy” program, according to a flyer posted to the Jesuit, Catholic institution’s website on Tuesday.
“Individuals may request our services to create a voice, along with other aspects of communication, that align with their gender identity and/or gender expression,” the flyer reads. “ Clients may include those who identify as transgender (transmasculine and transfeminine), gender fluid, gender diverse, gender non-binary, gender nonconforming, or other gender identities,” it continues.
The New Guard attempted to reach the university to ask why it is facilitating the Left’s gender ideology despite Pope Francis calling it “one of the most dangerous ideological colonizations” of our time. In response, an employee in the media relations office referred the New Guard to the school’s non-discrimination statement.
The therapy program, which is administered by Dr. Katherine Czelatdko, a clinical professor in the speech pathology and audiology department, is available to those of all ages, “infant through geriatric.”
According to the flyer, clients will focus on changing pitch, intonation, resonance, laughing, and even coughing, among other aspects of their voices.
It’s disappointing that Marquette is turning its back on its proclaimed identity and actively working to advance this harmful ideology, especially since the university is openly inviting infants and children to undergo these “transitions.”
