Kevin McMahon is a rising senior at the University of Virginia studying economics, and political science/government. Over the past two years, Kevin has worked to earn the Young Americans for Freedom Chapter at UVA official recognition from the University. After running into roadblocks, jumping through bureaucratic hoops, and threatening legal action against the University of Virginia with the help of the Young America’s Foundation, UVA YAF is thriving. YAF at UVA has nearly tripled its membership, successfully organized several activism events including the 9/11: Never Forget Project, and hosted conservative speakers, such as Kate Obenshain Keeler. Kevin is looking forward to graduating from UVA and plans to work in the D.C. area with hopes of applying to and attending law school. In his free time, Kevin enjoys going to the gun range with his friends and fellow YAF activists, relaxing at his lake house, playing the saxophone, and talking about conservative ideas. Additionally, Kevin spends time writing about current events and has been featured in various publications.
