The Kansas State University YAF chapter (KSU YAF) has been selected as the October 2024 Chapter of the Month.
KSU YAF, a nominee for last year’s Rookie Chapter of the Year award participated in YAF’s Stand with Israel activism project, creating an Israeli flag display, with one flag each individual person murdered by Hamas militants in the October 7th attacks.
KSU YAF also hosted Yeonmi Park to a standing-room only crowd for a lecture entitled “Communism Kills.” Park, a defector from North Korea, spoke about her experience living under the Communist regime, and why we need to ensure that socialism never comes to America.
Reflecting on their successful month, chapter chair Thomas Adcock stated, “All it took for us to have an impact was not to be afraid of being the only ones standing up against woke ideology and instead being happy warriors advocating for our beliefs. I’m proud of what we’ve been able to achieve, and the school year is just getting started.”
The following members played a key role in the chapter’s success:
Ashely Olds
Joe Ackerman
Brooke Evans
Silas Thoennes
