Mallory Stender is a senior political science major at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Since learning of the TCU Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) chapter on campus in the fall of 2016, she has been actively involved with the club. Immediately after joining, Mallory was selected to manage all social media accounts for the chapter. A passion for YAF and freedom’s principles ignited and soon after she attended an Activism Training Seminar in January of 2017 at Young America’s Foundation Headquarters in Reston, Virginia. In February, she attended YAF’s Dallas Freedom Conference with other TCU YAFers. Mallory is grateful to receive the honor to serve as an intern at YAF’s Reagan Ranch Center in Santa Barbara, California this summer. She is excited to dive into a summer of spreading YAF’s conservative traditions and values to students and the city of Santa Barbara. After she graduates in December of 2017, she plans to attend law school in Texas and to continue working to spread conservative values. During her final semester, she will serve as Vice President of TCU’s YAF chapter. Outside of her involvement with YAF, Mallory likes to read, practice yoga, fish, and shoot. She also is a contributor to the student-run conservative online newspaper for TCU, The Freedom Frog.
