An upcoming event featuring Vince Ellison that will be hosted by the University of Iowa’s Young Americans for Freedom chapter is under attack by dozens of intolerant campus leftists who are determined to prevent the event’s success – now including the state institution’s Women’s Resource and Action Center.
An Instagram post by the Women’s Resource and Action Center calls the rhetoric being used to promote the featuring Ellison – who was born on a cotton plantation – “hateful” and “false.”
The caption of the department’s Instagram post, which has now been up for more than two days, encourages students to “Comment below why DEI is important to you” using the hashtag “#DEImatterstome.”
As of this writing, nobody has done so.
“If the Women’s Resource and Action Center and their organization, WRACtivists actually adhered to their mission and values of being inclusive, diverse, respectful, collaborative, and effective, they would accept our viewpoint – even if it’s different from theirs – and they would not hesitate to help Iowa YAF protect and care for women by discussing how abortion is harmful to the mother and baby and is never necessary,” said Jasmyn Jordan, chairwoman of Iowa YAF.
Vince Ellison’s upcoming speech is free and open to the public. It will be held on February 26 at 7:00 PM in the North Room of the Iowa Memorial Union. Click here for more information!
