Shapiro is set to headline a YAF-sponsored lecture tour of schools across the country in 2016
This fall, YAF rushed Shapiro to the University of Missouri for a showdown with the leftist activists after protests broke out on the Mizzou campus. Hundreds of students packed into the room and a nearby overflow space had to be utilized.
Incredibly, more than 40,000 viewers watched the lecture live online and the video has accrued more than 500,000 views since being posted.
Weeks after his wildly successful Mizzou speech, Shapiro made national headlines when his YAF-sponsored lecture at Otay Ranch High School was interrupted by a liberal administrator who accused Shapiro of “crossing the line” and dismissed students from the speech. Based on Shapiro’s record of igniting the fury of leftist activists at every schools he vists, it is fair to expect this lecture tour will include a variety of explosive confrontations with campus liberals.
Ben Shapiro is a New York Times bestselling author, syndicated columnist, graduate of Harvard Law, editor-at-large for Breitbart News, and editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire. Shapiro is a conservative powerhouse with a reputation for his bold and unapologetic commentary.
“Ben is the perfect person to provide the education on the importance of free speech and political correctness this country’s liberal professors have clearly failed to administer,” said Ron Robinson, president of Young America’s Foundation. “We deeply appreciate the support of Fred R. Allen for making this one-of-a kind lecture series possible. He is ensuring that thousands of students will understand and be inspried by freedom,” Robinson continued.
“I look forward to the opportunity given to me by YAF and Fred R. Allen to speak to young people around the country,” Shapiro said. “It’s time for America’s precious snowflakes to learn that facts don’t care about your feelings, and that truth matters far more than the irrational emotional response to it.”
Young America’s Foundation is the only organization that specializes in helping students bring conservative speakers to their campuses. The Foundation is excited to continue its strong tradition of assisting conservative students in their efforts to organize lecture events to push advance conservative ideas at their schools.
