The American people have spoken, and it is time for the United States Senate to move swiftly. Congress must confirm President Donald Trump’s slate of nominees to begin implementing the agenda, which voters decisively chose in November.
Just as Ronald Reagan’s campaign slogan “Let’s Make America Great Again” resonated in 1980’s malaise, so does Donald Trump’s call to “Make America Great Again” amid similar chaos wrought by his predecessor.
President Trump’s victory came, in part, through a notable shift to the right among young Americans who are fed up with the damaging consequences of the Left’s failed policies that quickly led America into turmoil and sparked multiple wars abroad.
Among 18- to 29-year-old voters, President Trump’s winning message closed the youth vote gap from 25 points in 2020 against Biden to just six points in 2024 against Vice President Kamala Harris.
When young people see and feel the effects of the Left’s policies—and are exposed to the conservative alternative—our ideas win out. Young America’s Foundation (YAF) sees this daily in our work with students from middle school through college as they boldly advance the cause of conservatism.
Many of the leaders nominated by President Trump to champion America’s comeback have been inspiring YAF’s student audiences for years, including Senator Marco Rubio, former Congressman Sean Duffy, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.
These and the President’s other nominees will tackle inflation, secure our borders, root out the radical Left’s policies, protect women, restore deterrence, and champion American might and exceptionalism.
Americans, including an increasing number of young Americans, chose President Trump and his agenda to lead America to better days. Now, it’s time to get to work.
