YAF Celebrates President Reagan’s 113th Birthday: Fueling the Torch of Freedom for the Next Generation

Today marks the 113th anniversary of the birth of President Ronald Reagan, a remarkable figure in American history whose leadership and bold happy warrior spirit continue to inspire generations.

Young America’s Foundation is honored to preserve and protect President Reagan’s enduring legacy for future generations. Through our stewardship of his cherished Rancho del Cielo in Santa Barbara, California, and the Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon, Illinois, and through our premiere student activism initiatives and conferences, YAF ensures that today’s young people learn about and walk in the footsteps of “The Gipper,” experiences that cannot be found anywhere else.

High school students pose in front of Reagan’s iconic Rancho del Cielo sign.

Students tour the Western White House, Rancho del Cielo, during a YAF Middle School Expedition in California.

In addition to YAF’s student conferences that give students the exclusive opportunity to visit the ranch, the Foundation operates the Reagan Ranch Center in Downtown Santa Barbara, which serves as the “schoolhouse for Reaganism,” and is open to the public year-round.

Through the Foundation’s chapter affiliate, Young Americans for Freedom, students are trained in the Ronald Reagan Model of Campus Activism to boldly stand up for their beliefs and to recruit new students to join the Conservative Movement. Instead of shying away from discussions of our country’s most pressing issues, YAFers follow Reagan’s lead, confronting the Left head-on by hosting compelling activism projects and inviting the most influential conservative voices in the country to speak at their schools.

“It’s so important for all YAFers to recognize Ronald Reagan’s countless and eternal contributions to the Movement,”  noted Jasmyn Jordan, national chairwoman of Young Americans for Freedom. “Unfortunately, his legacy is largely neglected or even tarnished by teachers and professors, so it’s imperative that students have the opportunity to visit his ranch and boyhood home to truly get to know him.”

We hope you will join YAF in celebrating President Reagan’s life and lasting accomplishments. His legacy continues to inspire us as we endeavor to build a stronger, freer America for generations to come.

In celebration of Ronald Reagan’s birthday, we invite you to join us for these exciting, free, and open to the public events:
