YAF Leaders Named to Newsmax 30 Under 30 List This week Newsmax named YAF national chairman Grant Strobl, YAF alumna Katie Pavlich, and YAF alum Adi Sathi to its list of the “30 Most Influential Republicans Under 30.” This is yet another indication of YAF’s powerful influence in the Conservative Movement. Grant, who became YAF national chairman last September, is currently a junior at the University of Michigan where he also serves as the founding chairman of his school’s YAF chapter. As a teenager, he started a YAF chapter at his high school where he successfully fought the administration to bring CEO Steve Forbes to speak to an audience of 1,300 students. In his first two years of college alone, Grant lead the charge to defend the screening of American Sniper from being canceled by politically correct administrators, organized a widely-covered debate between Dinesh D’Souza and Bill Ayers, and hosted lectures by Ben Shapiro, Jonah Goldberg, and other conservative leaders. Grant made international headlines after trolling his school’s administrators by using their new pronoun designation tool to change his personal pronoun to “His Majesty.” His story went viral and landed YAF in the pages of the Washington Post, USA Today, the Independent, and dozens of other leading outlets. He was named to Red Alert Politics’ 30 Under 30 list in 2016. Grant is working hard to honor the work of YAF’s past leaders including William F. Buckley, Senator Barry Goldwater, and President Ronald Reagan. With Grant’s help, YAF is spreading conservative ideas on hundreds of college campuses every single day through the boldest activism in the Conservative Movement. Newsmax’s list also recognized the efforts of Katie Pavlich, one of the Foundation’s most high-profile alumni. After attending a YAF conference at the Reagan Ranch in college, Katie was inspired to become active in the Conservative Movement. She’s the award-winning author of Assault and Flattery: The About the Left and Their War on Women, and the New York Times bestseller Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up. Katie serves as the news editor for Townhall.com and a contributing editor to Townhall Magazine. She’s also a Fox News contributor and a rotating panelist on Outnumbered. Given all of her successes, Katie is one of YAF’s most popular campus speakers. She fearlessly travels to schools around the country to spread her conservative message. Katie also sits on the board of YAF’s National Journalism Center. The Foundation extends congratulations to Adi Sathi, another honoree on Newsmax’s list, who served on the board of Young Americans for Freedom at the University of Michigan alongside Grant Strobl. Young America’s Foundation congratulates Grant, Katie, and Adi on all of their accomplishments.
