Young America’s Foundation was pleased to learn from the Washington Post that the University of California, Berkeley may have a room available for Ben Shapiro to speak on September 14. As reported by the Washington Post, UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol Christ has offered to waive a room fee to enable students at Berkeley to hear conservative ideas from the popular author and speaker Ben Shapiro.
This development comes days after Berkeley administrators claimed in an email that they had exhausted “extensive efforts” to find a room, and were “unable” to do so.
Young America’s Foundation has been delighted to see the enthusiasm of students on the Berkeley campus who are eager to hear from Ben Shapiro.
We hope to hear directly from Berkeley administrators soon to learn more about their plans to allow Ben Shapiro to speak as reported in the Washington Post.
