We are grateful at this time to report that Rancho del Cielo, President Reagan’s “Western White House” and primary residence for his eight years in office, has not been affected by the Woolsey fire in Southern California. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, President Reagan’s former ranch in Malibu has been damaged by the Woolsey fire, although there have not been structures on the property for years. The second of three ranches the President owned, the Malibu ranch is currently part of Malibu Creek State Park and over 85 miles away from Rancho del Cielo (located in the hills above Santa Barbara). Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been displaced by the fires, as well as with the firefighters who are working tirelessly to control the flames.
