Since the start of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in October, Young America’s Foundation has equipped students on campuses throughout the country to stand with Israel and fight back against terror-backing leftists.
As pro-Hamas encampments and violent riots have rapidly developed at these schools, YAFers have been on the frontlines, constructing beautiful flag displays at some of the most embattled campuses in America.
At Columbia University, ground zero for encampment craziness, YAF staff traveled to join more than 20 students with the planting of 1,200 Israeli flags–one for each victim of the October 7 attack–on a lawn directly across from the tents.
At Harvard University, YAF worked to bring the project to the lawn in front of the iconic Harvard Divinity School building.
“Through the generous support of YAF, Jewish students and proud Americans were able to display our patriotism in the face of illegal, pro-terror encampments at our university,” remarked Shabbos Kestenbaum, who worked with YAF to spearhead the project at Harvard.
At Saint Louis University, even after a YAF student was assaulted by a pro-Hamas radical upset by the sight of an Israeli flag he was carrying, students woke up at the break of dawn to set up the flag project. The SLU display also included American flags for the more than 30 American victims of Hamas’ October 7 offensive.
At the University of California-Los Angeles, the YAF chapter’s flag display was stolen in the middle of the night. The chapter is also working to organize a pro-Israel event featuring Robert Spencer, a prominent counter-jihad expert, but continues to face illegal administrative hurdles that prevent them from receiving approval. YAF’s legal team is actively working to resolve this situation.
Even as the semester winds down to its end, leftist radicals are not backing down. Neither can we. YAF is working to coordinate this project on as many campuses as possible. Click here to request materials!
