Young America’s Foundation (YAF) is excited to announce that Stevens Institute of Technology, located in Hoboken, New Jersey, will serve as the first stop on our 2018 Art Laffer campus lecture tour that features one of the world’s preeminent economists and most articulate champions of free enterprise. The event will take place on March 1. YAF’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Free Enterprise is pleased to offer this lecture tour to students as our first key program of 2018. Many university programs and campus administrators increasingly attack the market-based economy and seek to spread the false promises of collectivism. Yet, we at YAF know that students are hungry for a different perspective. Young people want to hear a point of view that advances the power of the individual to build thriving businesses, freedom from controlling government bureaucrats, and ultimately, a brighter future for them and their peers. Through this lecture tour, students on campuses nationwide will have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Art Laffer, who has been the most influential intellectual force in American economic policy over the last four decades. As an economic advisor to our nation’s leaders and as the “Father of Supply-Side Economics,” Dr. Laffer has counseled Presidents Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump; Governors Scott Walker and Sam Brownback; and Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz, among others. The Stevens Institute of Technology conservative club will host Dr. Laffer as part of the Ken and Janice Shengold Advancing Freedom Lecture Series. The event details are as follows:

Date: March 1, 2018

Time: 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Venue: Bissinger Room, Wesley J. Howe Center

Address: 1 Castle Point Terrace, Hoboken, NJ 07030

Note: Stevens Institute of Technology ID is required for entry.

Dr. Laffer will deliver an auditorium-style lecture advancing the virtues of a freer economic system and government reduction. He will also make a guest appearance in an introductory economics course, becoming the only conservative speaker to appear in a Stevens classroom throughout the entire academic year! Visit YAF.org/events and follow @YAF on Twitter to see additional tour stops as they’re announced!
