Over the course of his distinguished career, President Bush served our country admirably, working to ensure that the ideas and values we all treasure will endure for generations to come.
A member of the greatest generation, George H. W. Bush answered the call to serve as a Naval Aviator in World War II. In public office, his kindness became a trademark that earned him the respect of friend and foe alike. His remarkable record includes service as Congressman, RNC Chair, Ambassador to the United Nations, and Director of the CIA.
He was an outstanding and loyal Vice President to Ronald Reagan, and as 41st President of the United States, his Supreme Court nomination of Clarence Thomas was one of his finest leadership moments. In addition to managing the end of the Cold War, he assembled the international coalition that eventually became Desert Storm.
His love of country and service to the American people will always be remembered as powerful examples of patriotism from a great man. He will be missed.
Young America’s Foundation offers its prayers and support to the entire Bush family during this difficult time.
