Burton Folsom is an economic historian and author. He believes that Americans are an inventive people, no matter their backgrounds, and throughout our nation’s history, American entrepreneurs have benefited the world with their innovations.
He has been a college professor at many places, especially Hillsdale College in Michigan, where he still serves as distinguished fellow and Professor Emeritus. He has written 11 books. These books include The Myth of the Robber Barons, which is published by Young America’s Foundation and will soon be in its ninth edition. He has also written New Deal or Raw Deal? that describes President Franklin Roosevelt’s disastrous New Deal program, which attacked free enterprise and slowed down America’s recovery from the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Burt Folsom received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Pittsburgh and he appears regularly on Fox News. He is the longest serving speaker for Young America’s Foundation.
