Master Sergeant Christopher Johnson (U.S. Army, Ret.) served 20 years in the Army, including 19 as a Green Beret with the 1st Special Forces Group. He has extensive experience in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East, including deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Philippines, and work with allied foreign militaries.
During his career, Chris worked in direct combat, interagency, and international settings, including a U.S. embassy. He is trained as a sniper, counterterrorism assaulter, combat diver, and Military Freefall Jumpmaster, and is a Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Academy graduate.
Chris spent more than nine years in key leadership roles within the 1st Special Forces Group, including serving as a Team Sergeant leading a scuba detachment in Afghanistan.
He believes that responsibility, discipline, and freedom are vital for success and champions these principles with groups like Young America’s Foundation. Chris is passionate about investing in youth and modeling these values for young Americans.
He lives with his wife, Tara, and their three children on a “Ranchito” outside Fort Worth, Texas, where family, faith, and a lively collection of animals keep life full.
