Vince was born on a cotton plantation in Haywood County, TN. His parents were sharecroppers at that time. Through hard work and a belief in Jesus Christ, his parents pulled him and his seven siblings out of poverty. His family started the Ellison Family Gospel Singing Group, where Vince sang and played multiple instruments as a child and a young adult. After studying at the University of Memphis, Vince worked for five years as a correctional officer at Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia, SC. Afterward, Vince worked in the nonprofit arena.
In 2000, Vince received the GOP nomination for the South Carolina 6th Congressional District. In 2019, Vince wrote " The Iron Triangle, Inside the Liberal Democrat Plan to Use Race to Divide Christians and America in Their Quest for Power, and how we can Defeat Them. He also wrote “25 Lies” and “Crime Inc.” with Post Hill Press/Simon & Schuster, and his latest work is “The End of Tolerance.” All were Amazon #1 Bestsellers.
Vince now hosts a daily podcast, “The Vince Everett Ellison Show,” on YouTube, with hundreds of thousands of subscribers and millions of monthly views. Vince has also produced, directed, and written two documentaries, “Will You Go To Hell For Me” and “Slavery Is a Choice,” scheduled for release in August 2026.
