Anti-Israel Leftists At Stanford Post Hateful Cartoon Ahead Of Klavan Lecture

Apparently taking a page out of the New York Times‘ playbook, students at Stanford University have begun posting cartoons titled “Ben Shapiro At Seder” on campus in opposition to an upcoming Young America’s Foundation-sponsored lecture by the Daily Wire‘s Andrew Klavan. The topic to be addressed by Klavan: “Yes, America Is A Judeo-Christian Nation.” The cartoon is by Eli Valley, who is being hosted by Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace at Stanford for a talk “contesting colonial narratives,” according to the posters. SJP’s anti-semitic and anti-Israel activities are well-documented, including ties to Hamas. JVP supports the anti-Israel BDS movement and its call for the Israeli government to end its “occupation and colonization of all Arab lands occupied in June 1967” among other demands. Valley, who also used his cartoons to target Meghan McCain’s support of Israel (McCain called it “one of the most anti-semitic things I have ever seen”) calls Ben Shapiro a “white supremacist anti-semite” on Twitter. After sending the above cartoon in a “Happy Passover!” Tweet, Valley reiterated that it was “such a joy to illustrate Ben Shapiro’s actual values,” calling Shapiro “monstrously opposed to everything we’re taught to treasure about the Jewish ethical tradition.” While Valley, SJP, and JVP have the right to express themselves this way, the leftists at Stanford and across the country should not be immune from the criticism or condemnation they deserve for pushing these repugnant views. Those on the Left continually scold conservatives for what they consider hateful rhetoric that incites people to violence, a truly hypocritical ploy to silence conservatives. Time and again, we see that it is the Left itself that fans the flames of hatred toward conservatives, those who hold Judeo-Christian values, and the ideas and institutions that support freedom—and in one recent example where the Daily Wire‘s Michael Knowles was assaulted while delivering a YAF lecture, it is leftists who jeopardize physical safety on campuses. Undeterred by anti-semitic cartoonists and the leftist vandals who are bringing Valley to campus, conservative students at Stanford continue to prepare for their May 14 lecture with Andrew Klavan, part of Young America’s Foundation’s “Klavan On The Culture On Campus” tour. The event is free and tickets are available for the public. For additional information or to request an interview contact YAF Spokesman Spencer Brown via [email protected] or 800-872-1776.
