Shortly after Harvard University revealed its 2024 commencement speaker, Maria Ressa, it came to light that she had recently published an editorial that likened Israel to Nazi Germany. Instead of apologizing for her abhorrent comments, Ressa, the CEO of Filipino news site Rappler, doubled down.
During her Thursday evening commencement speech, Ressa criticized those who objected to her vile remarks, saying, “I was attacked online and called antisemitic by power and money because they want power and money.”
Shabbos Kestenbaum, a student who has worked with Young America’s Foundation to push back against anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments on campus, commented, “Antisemitic tropes are the perfect way to encapsulate the sh**tshow of this year.”

Unfortunately, Harvard was not alone in its poor selection of a speaker. As was revealed by YAF’s 2024 Commencement Speaker Survey, 46 of the top 100 colleges and universities in America enlisted speakers who are ideologically on the Left to make a last-ditch effort to force feed progressive talking points into their students.
In protest of Harvard’s governing authority’s decision to ban 12 pro-Hamas students whose actions during the encampments were deemed particularly egregious from walking at graduation, a pro-Hamas student group hosted an alternative ceremony.

The radical Left has brainwashed far too many young adults with its full-on embrace of anti-Israel extremism.
