In anticipation of a Matt Walsh event, the University of Wisconsin-Madison released a statement condemning Walsh’s speech as “harmful to our trans community.” When YAF activists advertised the event, leftists destroyed flyers within a day of posting. The school refused to protect YAF’s activities, even when university teaching assistant bragged about the destruction in the newspaper. Crazed leftists also vandalized public property, including a veteran’s memorial, the night before the event – an ironic representation of the “tolerant” left in action. YAF issued a demand to the school, calling for investigation and discipline into these lawless acts.

Status: In spite of intense protests, the event was highly successful. As follow up, YAF sent demand letters on October 24 and November 7. The school has refused to provide any information, and the police claim their investigation is closed in spite of the lack of public resolution. YAF is creatively seeking ways to get to the bottom of this messy situation.
