Leftist students at John Moores University in Liverpool have unofficially renamed a campus building in honor of Lela Khaled, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist organization. She has taken up a prominent role in motivating campus radicals, for which they are in turn recognizing her.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is one of the groups responsible for the attacks in Israel on October 7, some of its members celebrated their infiltration of IDF outposts.
Students reportedly plan to occupy the academic building “until all demands are met.” It is not clear whether the university will officially adopt the new name for its academic hall, which houses the psychology and athletic departments.
Khaled sent a voice message to students at Cardiff University saying, “Long live Palestine, long live the student intifada. I see an intifada in the whole world which means that you are on the right side of history. We are defending our future history and also with this we will be victorious.”
By glorifying terrorists, ignorant students are demeaning the pain felt by hostages and their families. By supporting someone who calls for Israel to be destroyed by students and terrorists alike, hate is being pushed on campus.
Regrettably, college students–in the United States and abroad–have been swayed by these tactics in the past and are falling for them once more. They have been misled by propaganda and misleading stories. Young America’s Foundation is committed to countering the propaganda and equipping students to stand firmly with Israel.
